NEWBORN SESSIONS
As parents ourselves, we understand the importance of capturing these special memories for your family. Newborns are only tiny for a short period of time, and there’s nothing sweeter than sleepy curled-up poses reminiscent of their time in the womb. There is no bigger honor as a photographer than capturing life’s most cherished memories. We love to capture the natural beauty and tender emotions of this special time as timeless works of art.
our signature style
We strive for a minimalistic, timeless, artistic aesthetic. Your sweet baby is always the focus of our images, accented with neutral tones and knit textures. Rest assured that our natural post-processing includes smoothing of skin and postpartum areas to make sure you look your best.

newborn retainer
We recommend reserving your newborn session as early as possible, since our calendar gets filled quickly. We only offer a limited number of commissions each month to ensure our high quality of work. Please submit a Newborn Retainer to ensure avail ability around your due date for a newborn session in the studio or comfort of your home. You’ll simply be in touch once baby arrives to schedule your appointment, and the balance will be due at that time.
BLANKETS, WRAPS
& accessories
We offer access to our blankets, wraps, swaddles, bonnets, hats, headbands and accessories for newborn sessions. Most of the items have been handmade by talented designers who put effort into ensuring the item is perfect for your newborn’s portraits. You can view samples featured in the Portfolio. Babies photograph best when naked or wrapped in soft fabrics. Our posing workflow allows us to transition smoothly and avoid disturbing baby from their deep sleep. While we are happy to incorporate a favorite outfit or heirloom, please understand that clothes tend to add bulk and detract from baby’s petite features.

Our Midtown Manhattan Photo Studio is conveniently located to PENN Station, PATH train, major subway lines, as well as the Lincoln & Midtown Tunnels. There is a parking lot next door and elevator access to make your commute as easy as possible.
WHAT TO BRING
We understand that new mamas are exhausted in the first weeks after giving birth. Our studio is set up so you can have a well deserved break. We’ll photograph baby right in front of you, while you get to relax and fully enjoy the beauty of your little miracle.
Please bring your diaper bag and anything else helpful to spend a few hours away from home. A swaddle and extra bottle of breast milk or formula will be helpful for any fussy points during the session.

Our modern boutique photography studio allows us to offer a comfortable session experience, while delivering portraits of the highest quality. We use a combination of classic backdrops and artistic lighting to make your vision into a reality. Snacks and drinks are provided during your shoot. There is a reception area, changing table, and restroom available for your convenience. We encourage you to relax and make yourself comfortable!
PARKING
We recommend planning your commute in advance and checking traffic conditions beforehand to arrive punctually for your shoot. Please understand that sessions will not be extended due to lateness.
preparation
Babies with full tummies are much more cooperative for newborn poses than those who are feeling hungry. Please keep baby awake for one full hour (warm sponge bath usually does the trick), and begin a generous feeding a half-hour before your appointment. Baby can be "undressed" in just a loose diaper and swaddle, so we'll enjoy a calm and content mood for a variety of beautiful concepts.
COMFORT OF YOUR
HOME
We offer newborn sessions in the comfort of your home at no additional fee. We’ll set up a “studio” in your bedroom with professional lighting, space heater, blankets, knit wraps and accessories for posed portraits of your newborn. We'll also capture some intimate family portraits to celebrate your new additional. Please style any meaningful settings within your home (e.g. nursery, living room) that you’d like to incorporate for family portraits, or we can use a bare wall (6 feet wide) as a seamless backdrop.
what to wear
We’re always happy to capture some intimate family portraits to celebrate your new addition. We recommend wearing whites, creams, and neutral tones. Simple outfits without a busy pattern or logo are ideal. Classic never goes out of style. Moms can wear anything from a simple camisole to a cozy sweater to a maxi dress. Whatever feels comfortable! We encourage being mindful of bra straps and fingernails. It’s all in the details. We’ll photograph mostly from the waist up and use flattering angles to make sure you look your best.
AFTER THE SESSION
Within a week of your session, we will share an online proofing gallery for your review. Once you've selected your favorites, we will hand edit each image in our signature style for your portrait gallery. Please understand that RAW unedited images are not a finished product They may not be downloaded or shared. If you'd like to purchase any additional portraits for your final gallery, please note the fees below. Once you've made your selections, we will edit each of these images in our natural style for your portrait gallery.
ADDITIONAL DIGITAL PORTRAITS
Sessions include a select number of portraits. However, you're always welcome to purchase additional high-resolution edited portraits. RAW images are not offered. Please review pricing details below:
1 digital portrait - $100

ARTISTIC EDITING
Your favorite images will each be individually enhanced with our natural style of editing. All remaining images will be deleted. Rest assured that we will adjust white balance, extend the backdrops, retouch distractions, tastefully minimize blemishes, skin discoloration and smooth postpartum areas to make sure you all look your best. For clients interested in more extensive editing of our photography, we are happy to recommend a professional retouching service. Please view samples of our natural post-processing in the Before & After Gallery for reference.
digital portraits
Digital portraits will each be presented in color and black & white to be downloaded in high resolution for your personal archives. Your images will be delivered in an online gallery where you may order professional quality prints and products. Your gallery may be shared with friends and family and will be available to view, download, and order prints for one month. We strongly encourage clients to back up digital portraits on two separate hard drives for redundancy in case of a hardware failure.
