Allow us to capture your natural beauty and gorgeous curves of pregnancy in our signature style. Our maternity photoshoots are offered outdoors amidst the colorful backdrops of Central Park, TriBeCa, and NJ. We also offer sessions in our luxury Midtown Manhattan studio through our studio brand Glow Portraits. We'll discuss the styling and vision for your shoot during your pre-session consultation. Maternity photography sessions include a select number of digital portraits and printed products. Unedited images are not provided. You may purchase additional digitals and artwork following your photoshoot. You'll receive a detailed Welcome Guide of preparation details and style recommendations to ensure you look your best. We know how much goes into planning a photo session. Our aim is to make things easy for you, with our all-inclusive packages. You will have access to our curated maternity wardrobe, featuring over 100 garments. These range from flowing silks to delicate lace robes, and the perfect accessories to finish the look (hats, jewelry, etc.) Additionally, many of our sessions include make-up and hair, to make sure you look your best throughout the shoot. We love creating dreamy maternity photo shoots in NYC, using the energy of the city to tell a story that feels both grand and deeply personal. Our work is about the quiet, emotional connection between you and your partner. By mixing traditional pregnancy portraits with a creative eye, we deliver a collection of images that feel like true heirlooms, luxurious, evocative, and uniquely yours. All-inclusive photo packages. No "gotchas" here.
All of our maternity photo sessions, from the Mini to the Luxe, include digital images. While many aspiring photographers advertise a bargain price—a tactic used to lure in new clients—this sitting fee generally doesn't include any images. Only after the shoot are the images made available for sale, at previously undisclosed prices. This practice in photography is sales-oriented, and detrimental towards a long term relationship between the client and the photographer. For this reason, we believe in complete pricing transparency.
NYC Photo Studio or Outdoors?
This is a deeply personal topic. Our Manhattan photo studio is fully climate-controlled, private, and allows you (as well as us) to fully explore many creative options for your pregnancy photos. We have a full wardrobe, make-up and hair, stools, lighting modifiers (such as color gels and gobos) as well as a wind machine. Using these tools, we can facilitate practically anything you can imagine! Outdoor settings on the other hand offer a more lifestyle approach. Clothing changes are somewhat limited, and weather is the name of the game. These sessions are best suited for expectant New York momas looking for a more free-flowing session with an urban vibe. Initial consultation & Welcome Guide
After booking your shoot with us, you can expect to receive our Client Questionnaire. This personalized form aims to capture your preferences and the creative direction you wish to go in. It acts as a blueprint for our photographer to follow. Say that you're looking for high fashion studio look with hollywood make-up and flowing fabrics—we'll be sure to aim just for that!
Pets, children, and your significant other
A maternity photo session usually unfolds this way: You'll arrive at our Manhattan photo studio, and will be greeted by our photographer (and make-up artist, if one is included in your session). The first 60 to 90 minutes (depending on the session) will be spent on your make-up, hair, wardrobe choices, and laying out the workflow. For this reason, we always recommend you keep your pets, and family members home. Have them join 1 to 2 hours later. In our experience, toddlers get bored waiting around in our reception area (and so do the partners!).
Proofing Gallery
This is the grand reveal! Within 10-14 days after your photo shoot, you can expect to receive an e-mail with a private link to your Proofing Gallery. These images will have a watermark, and are solely for proofing purposes. You'll choose your favorites by "hearting" them, and ordering any additional digitals (should your choices exceed what's included in your package). These favorites are then hand-edited by our skilled retoucher, and turned into an absolute work of maternity art :-) Please know that we do not release, nor sell RAW unedited images, as these are not considered to be a final product.

During what week of my pregnancy should I have my maternity photos taken?
We generally recommend capturing maternity photos around 28 - 34 weeks of pregnancy. During this window, your belly is getting beautifully round, and you’re usually still feeling comfortable for a variety of poses. Every pregnancy is unique, so we always adjust timing based on how you’re feeling and how your body is carrying. First-time pregnancies often show later, while second or third pregnancies tend to show sooner. If you’re expecting twins or have a high-risk pregnancy, we encourage scheduling earlier. We can enhance your baby bump in post processing when necessary. Our goal is to capture your pregnancy when you're feeling confident and radiant. Please contact us at the studio to discuss the ideal scheduling for your maternity photoshoot.
What type of wardrobe options does your studio offer?
Our Manhattan photo studio offers a curated wardrobe of flattering maternity gowns, dresses, robes, crop tops and bodysuits to accentuate your curves. We also have a collection of silks for draping and flowing fabric concepts. We carry neutral tones, as well as statement colors, to match your personal style. You’re also welcome to bring along any of your own outfits and accessories. After booking, we'll provide you with a Welcome Guide, full of helpful styling guidance. Our goal is to make styling feel effortless, while ensuring that you look fabulous.
Can I bring my own makeup artist to your studio?
You are welcome to have your make-up done prior to your session. Unfortunately, we cannot permit contractors that are not associated with our company to perform services in our studio. We are always happy to provide recommendations for soft makeup and hair styling that enhances your natural beauty.
What is your policy on pets in the studio?
Pets are welcome as long as they are well behaved and fully potty trained. We recommend bringing treats and a helper to assist with your pet when they are not on set. Dogs can be unleashed on set if they are able to stay in place. Please let us know ahead of time if you plan to include a pet. This allows us to prepare the space appropriately. Your pet’s safety and comfort are important to us. As you'll see in our maternity photo gallery, we love incorporating furry family members whenever possible.
May I request specific retouching? i.e. swelling, adding volume to hair, etc.
You can view samples of our signature style of editing in the Before-and-After-Gallery. Rest assured that we'll adjust white balance, extend the backdrops, crop artistically, retouch distractions, warm skin tones, minimize blemishes, and smooth body contours to ensure you look your best. We generally leave the linea negra for a natural feel, so please advise us if you'd prefer to have it retouched. Requests to retouch stretch marks or adjust hair volume may be shared when submitting your favorite images for editing. Your final portraits will each be presented in color and black & white.
I'd like to do an outdoor maternity shoot. What are your favorite locations around NYC?
Some of our favorite settings for pregnancy photos include Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and TriBeCa. Each location offers a unique blend of greenery, architecture, and urban charm. Central Park is perfect for natural foliage and iconic backdrops - especially at Bethesda Terrace. Brooklyn Bridge Park offers modern boardwalks, Jane's Carousel, and iconic views of the lower Manhattan skyline. Tribeca provides cobblestone streets, brick walls, and cast iron architecture. The latter locations are beautiful year round, while Central Park is best in the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons. We’re happy to help you choose a spot that best reflects your vision and aesthetic.
How do I change wardrobe during a Central Park pregnancy shoot?
We recommend bringing layers and accessories to add variety for your lifestyle prenatal portraits. Please let us know in advance if you'd prefer to do a full clothing change, so we can bring along a portable pop-up tent. This allows you to change styles comfortably and privately on location. We understand that changing outfits with a baby bump is a bit more challenging. We'll also help plan your order of outfits in advance for a seamless and stress-free experience.
If my baby arrives early, what happens to the retainer I had paid for my maternity session?
If your baby makes an early debut, then your retainer is applied toward a newborn session or future family session. Retainers are non-refundable. This policy allows us to hold your original date while still offering flexibility in our calendar for any necessary adjustments. We'll simply transfer the value to your new booking. We appreciate that life is unpredictable, and we'll always do our best to accommodate changes!
