We were incredibly fortunate to get to photograph a beautiful and sweet family in NYC’s Sheep Meadow. It’s one of the most charming venues in Central Park. With the girls running, playing, and laughing with their parents throughout the session, it was truly an afternoon that could not be forgotten. The girls, who were running through the grass, twirling in the sun, and smiling at Mom and Dad the whole time, were simply wonderful. There’s just something so special about taking pictures of kids at this age. They’re not afraid to show their characters and that’s what makes the most authentic family photos.
At Michael Kormos Photography, we take great satisfaction in achieving a relaxed atmosphere that allows families to enjoy their time with each other. Instead of too much posing, we had them interact naturally. Hugging, walking together, and the in-between silly moments really brought this photo shoot together. We loved how naturally the parents engaged with their kids during the shoot. You could witness the love and connection in each and every photograph. These are the types of family photos that turn into wall art and albums, the ones that people flip through years later and smile when they see them.
Sheep Meadow was the perfect backdrop for this family session. The large empty area provided the girls with ample room to run around and play, while the city skyline in the background gave the pictures a classic New York touch. That’s why it’s our favorite place for family photography, both peaceful and historic at the same time. We can only wish this family the best with their pictures for the years to come.
