Another of our favorite on-location settings to bring our clients to is Central Park. Mid-week is key to getting those close to as empty fields as possible. It almost feels like you have Central Park to yourself! We love shooting here because you feel like you’re not in the city while being directly in the middle of Manhattan! You have the beautiful grass and trees of different shapes and sizes. Central Park helps us transport our clients from urban to a more natural setting, while creating these stunning works of art!

This little cutie surprised Mommy & Daddy six weeks early, but look at him now! Chubby cheeks and the sweetest mohawk EVER. 🙂 We had such fun capturing a blend of posed and lifestyle portraits that will work beautifully as a keepsake album to be treasured for years to come. Carrying a little miracle inside your womb is a magical journey. Despite the challenges, aches and swellings, pregnancy is a beautiful and special time in your life. We put all our dedication into making your maternity session an enjoyable experience.

We tastefully process our images to accentuate your natural beauty. We will adjust white balance, extend the backdrops, retouch distractions from the background, minimize blemishes, nipples, cellulite, and tastefully smooth body contours to make sure you look your best.  We generally keep the linea negra for a natural feel, unless clients would prefer to have it removed. We’ve enclosed some of samples of our natural editing style with before-and-after versions of maternity photography from one of our recent sessions.

Maternity portraits are best captured around 30-36 weeks.  We understand that might be a time during the pregnancy in which feeling glamorous might not come easy. We utilize our expertise in styling, lighting and post-production to create beautiful portraits that will preserve this incredible journey into motherhood in an artistic way. We strongly advise clients to reserve their maternity shoot in advance to ensure our availability.
